Ad Council orders ET Now to withdraw misleading budget coverage leadership claim

After a review by ASCI’s Fast Track Complaints Panel (FTCP), the ad was found to be misleading and in violation of ASCI’s guidelines.
The email advertisement from ET Now featured the headline, “Leading the Views through the Budget News! India reaffirms faith in the true leader.”
The FTCP noted that the advertisement prominently displayed the ‘Budget for Viksit Bharat’ logo, which could mislead viewers into thinking the leadership claim was specific to Budget coverage.
