By Will McLennan in Media News on Monday, 07th April 2025 at 11:46amIREN co-founder Daniel Roberts said he was “a bit lost for words” when he took out the Lizzy for Top Newsmaker at this year’s Samsung Australian IT Journalism Awards.
“I’m stoked to have won it and very grateful,” Roberts told Influencing. To be honest, I was a bit lost for words, which is ironic, given that it’s an award for talking too much.
“It’s a huge privilege to work on some of the biggest shifts in tech with companies genuinely changing the world.
“The pace of change is staggering, making open debate more important than ever so we can challenge assumptions, surface new ideas, and keep each other accountable. I think a few years from now, we’ll all look back and be blown away by how far things have moved.”
