Resonate Broadcasting is putting 11 regional radio stations across seven Queensland markets up for sale, covering nearly 39 per cent of the state’s population, according to Mumbrella.  The portfolio includes stations such as 4CCC in Charleville and 4GC in Charters Towers, aligned with Southern Cross Austereo’s Hit and Triple M networks. Founded in 2008 by Rex Morris and Guy Dobson, Resonate acquired the stations over several deals with Macquarie Media. Their Hawaiian stations are not included in this sale. Morris, now Triple M Sydney’s content director, said the decision to sell comes after 16 years at the helm. “At the end of the day, we’ve been doing this for 16 years… it’s time for us to sell, and we’ve got other things we might like to explore in the future,” he said, noting there’s no specific buyer in mind but expects interest from a broad range of parties. Rahul Kanwal has resigned from his roles as News Director of India Today and Aaj Tak and Executive Director of Business Today, marking the end of a 22-year tenure with the India Today Group. The company notified the Bombay Stock Exchange of his departure on Thursday, stating that Kanwal is stepping down to pursue new opportunities, according to ET Brand Equity.
