Digital publishers seek revenue-sharing mechanism with tech giants

Chaired by I&B Secretary Sanjay Jaju, the meeting included representatives from the Digital News Publishers Association (DNPA) and other government bodies such as the Competition Commission of India (CCI) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), a release stated.
The DNPA has petitioned the government to establish a revenue-sharing framework with tech companies like Meta and Google, which aggregate and distribute content created by publishers, generating revenue from this content.
