Ayanti Bera has announced that she has started a new position as senior correspondent at The CapTable, covering startups.   She was a senior correspondent at Financial Express most recently.  On LinkedIn, Bera announced her connections about her new role at The CapTable.   “I'll continue writing on startups and the investor ecosystem and hope to dish out some good reads in the coming months,” she added.   In her previous stints, Bera was a business correspondent at Reuters and a senior correspondent at Informist Media and Financial Express.

Paul Kent loses job after viral Sydney brawl video

NRL 360 presenter Paul Kent has reportedly been sacked after a viral video allegedly showed him involved in a street brawl outside a Sydney hotel in April. The video, accessed by B&T, allegedly captures Kent in a confrontation with another man, restrained by onlookers before breaking free and engaging in a violent brawl.  The fight escalates with Kent being thrown head-first into the base of a tree. A spokesperson for the Daily Telegraph and Fox Sports initially stated that Kent had been stood down pending an investigation. B&T has now reported that Kent has parted ways with both employers. Kent, 54, is scheduled to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday, seeking to have a charge of affray addressed on mental health grounds.
