2Day FM revamps format to target younger audiences

Sydney’s 2Day FM has undergone a major format shift, aiming to capture a younger audience with a stronger emphasis on new music, Mumbrella reported.
The station now promises to play "more new music than any other commercial radio station in Sydney" while prioritising Australian artists like Troye Sivan and The Kid Laroi alongside global stars such as SZA and Billie Eilish.
The move follows last year’s Breakfast show shake-up, where The Jimmy & Nath Show replaced Hughesy, Ed & Erin, signalling a broader shift in programming. Emma Chow has now joined the team full-time, further cementing the station’s new direction.
