The Press Information Bureau (PIB) Shillong has organised a six day media exposure visit to Sikkim for a 10 member delegation of journalists from Meghalaya, the PIB said in a statement. The delegation arrived in Gangtok and was received by PIB Gangtok officials. The visit aims to provide journalists with first hand exposure to development initiatives across sectors such as agriculture, horticulture, tourism, research and border area development. During the tour, the delegation will visit institutions including the Spices Board India Regional Office and the ICAR National Research Centre for Orchids, and attend the Indian Orchid Festival 2026 in Pakyong. They will also visit key cultural and border locations across the state.

The Tripura Working Journalists Association (TWJA) has begun a statewide organisational visit to strengthen ties with grassroots journalists. On March 8, meetings were held in Kailashahar and Dharmanagar, with participation from reporters across North Tripura and Unakoti districts. Association president Bijoy Pal and secretary Sunil Debnath engaged directly with field correspondents, who raised concerns over professional insecurity, low remuneration, and challenges faced during reporting assignments, Tripura Info reported. Pal said similar meetings will be organised in other districts, while also voicing concern over “broker journalists” in the capital and alleging misuse of the profession by self‑styled leaders for political and financial interests.

Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India and Nielsen on Monday launched BARC | Nielsen ONE Ads, a cross-media measurement solution designed to provide unified advertising measurement across digital and linear platforms. According to StoryBoard18, the new system merges BARC’s linear TV viewership data with Nielsen ONE Ads’ digital measurement, providing a deduplicated view of audiences across screens. According to the companies, the framework addresses the need for a single-source measurement of advertising performance. Nakul Chopra, CEO, BARC India said the system delivers cross-screen insights, while Akhil Parekh, Chief Product Officer at Nielsen said it provides advertisers with a single deduplicated view of campaign performance.

Journalist, media consultant and academic Garima Dutt has passed away suddenly. She had served as an Assistant Professor at the Delhi School of Journalism.
