By Pragadish Kirubakaran and Pradeep Damodaran in Media News on

CRN Australia rebrands as TechPartner.News to reflect industry shift

By Abdul Nishad in Media News on
CRN Australia has rebranded to TechPartner.News in a move aimed at aligning more closely with the evolving role of IT providers in the Australian market. The new name reflects the broader scope of services the sector now covers, including managed services, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. Editor-in-chief William Maher said, “Business technology had evolved far beyond the days of reselling computers—though that was still important. By then, it encompassed everything from managed services and system integration to cloud computing, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. Australian organisations of all sizes had come to depend on technology partners for IT support, security, and much more. Our new name reflects this reality." In celebration of the rebrand, TechPartner.News kicked off its news and analysis for Australia's tech partners with an exclusive interview featuring Dave Stevens from Brennan. During the interview, Stevens shared insights on

The Nightly grows fast - reaches 3.1m users for the first time

By Tony Bosworth in Media News on
In little more than a year, Seven West’s The Nightly, Australia’s only evening digital newspaper, has grown its unique audience to more than three million monthly readers for the first time.  The industry-audited IPSOS iris figures for the month of February, released last week, show The Nightly reached a unique audience of 3.067 million Australian readers, the biggest number since its launch in February 2024, just 13 months ago. The Nightly also cracked the top-20 list of the most-read news brands in the country for the first time, leaving behind established brands such as News Corp’s The Daily Telegraph (21) and Nine’s Australian Financial Review (27). All this will almost certainly have put a smile on Editor-in-Chief Christopher Dore’s face - the legendary ex-Daily Telegraph editor did not part on the best of terms with his old bosses but was soon tapped by Seven’s owner Kerry Stokes for a top editorial role and soon after was appointed to The Nightly.    Th
