Rust joins IT Hall of Fame

Last week, the Pearcey Foundation - a not-for-profit organisation with the objective of raising the profile of the Australian ICT industry and profession - inducted Rust, and telco entrepreneur Bevan Slattery into its Hall of Fame. John de Margherita - considered by many as the father of the Australian video game sector - was awarded the Pearcey Medal at the 2022 National Awards held in Tasmania.
Rust, who pioneered the IT analyst business in Australia before publishing his industry newsletter The Rust Report, became just the second IT journalist/commentator to be inducted into the Pearcey Hall of Fame, following Helen Meredith’s addition in 201...
