Foyster and WLT launch mentorship program for women in tech

Women Love Tech’s editor-in-chief and owner Robyn Foyster says the new Women Love Tech mentorship program is an opportunity for women to get a helping hand and support, “from other people who’ve been there”.  Foyster told Influencing, “The impetus is that I wanted to see a platform that could help women learn from other people who've been there.” Partnering with mentorship company OneUpOne Down, Foyster said WLT is, “offering a tech, a mentoring platform that's available to anyone”.  “It opens up a way for our young women in tech to reach out to other women they want to be mentored by, and vice versa.” And she has big plans for the platform. “I don't see Women Love Tech as an Australian-only website. Many of our audience come from America, the UK, and Asia. Maha govt to set up media monitoring centre

The Maharashtra government will establish a media monitoring centre to track news coverage related to the state across print, audiovisual, social and digital media. With an estimated budget of Rs 10 crore, the centre will analyse media reports, generate data-driven insights and counter misleading information about the government. According to a Government Resolution issued on Wednesday, the initiative follows a proposal from the Directorate of Information and Public Relations. “The media monitoring centre for systematic monitoring, analysis and reporting of news related to government initiatives. This will involve scientific analysis of news from electronic media, social media and digital platforms and will also provide information via a dashboard and a mobile application,” excerpts from the resolution stated.
