With US President Donald Trump initiating the process for slapping for sweeping “reciprocal tariffs” against both allies and competitors barely hours before his meeting with PM Modi in Washington, the future of the India-US relationship has become the topic of intense debate in the backdrop of Trump's tariff war.
An expert on trade and geopolitics, Faizal Ahmed wrote for The Times of India that the "ideal strategy for dealing with Trump’s America is to push for deeper economic diplomacy, not walking into the tariff-vs-tariff trap."
