Wave Money is a new broker-exclusive non-bank lender established to deliver residential mortgage solutions to an increasing pool of borrowers whose needs are not being met by the traditional bank and non-bank lending institutions. Wave Money’s mortgage service proposition comprises best-of-breed technology for each stage in the process and the customer and broker experience is powered by onshore people, expertise, and relationships. The team behind Wave Money includes two highly experienced and well-known executives in the residential mortgage industry, John Flavell Founder and Managing Director (former CEO Mortgage Choice), and Andrew Chick Co-Founder and Treasurer (former CEO Royal Bank of Scotland ANZ). Prior to Wave Money John Flavell held various senior executive roles in the financial services and residential mortgage industry including CEO Mortgage Choice, Executive General Manager Wealth Advice NAB, General Manager NAB Broker, National Manager Franchise and Retail Aussie, and State Manager (VIC) RAMS. Andrew Chick was formerly the CEO of The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), Australia and New Zealand having worked for the bank for 20 years in New York, London, and Sydney. He has extensive experience in structured finance and the global debt capital markets, including the Australian RMBS sector. Prior to joining RBS, Andrew was a lawyer at Blake Dawson Waldron (now Ashurst) in Sydney. Andrew is also a Councillor with the Australian British Chamber of Commerce and holds various board positions in the financial services and e-commerce sectors.
