TRAI announces amendments to broadcasting and cable services

These changes aim to modernise the regulatory framework and enhance consumer experience in the digital broadcasting era.
TRAI had previously introduced a comprehensive regulatory framework in 2017, with updates in 2020 and 2022. The latest amendments, according to its press release, reflect TRAI's ongoing commitment to adapting regulations based on industry needs and stakeholder feedback.
