He has pointed out at an event in Jalgaon on Sunday that the new provisions in Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) ensure tough penalties for crime against women, including hanging and life imprisonment, according to a report by Ranjan Dasgupta for The Times of India. But can framing stringent laws alone deter the mounting crimes against women?
