Filed by Verma’s wife, the petition challenges his arrest and detention, alleging procedural irregularities and seeking his release. The court, comprising Justice Salil Kumar Rai and Justice Devendra Singh, has fixed July 13 for the next hearing, reported Devdiscourse. The general manager of Super Radio Network station 2HD has been suspended following an alleged inappropriate incident at the Audio Awards, according to an exclusive from Mediaweek’s Natasha Lee. The incident involved 2HD presenter Cheralyn Darcey, who hosts The Nightline program on 2HD between 8pm and midnight. “Video seen by Mediaweeek shows Ashford embracing Darcey before grabiing her from behind,” Lee reported, before revealing that Ashford had been stood down “while the matter s addressed”.
