Stan Grant moves out of Q+A over racial abuse
By Neeraja Gopalakrishnan in Media News on Friday, 19th May 2023 at 5:46pmAward-winning Indigenous host of ABC’s Q+A, Stan Grant has announced his departure from the flagship program after being subjected to “relentless” racial abuse on social media for his contribution to the ABC’s coverage of the coronation of King Charles III. 
Sharing his school photograph from the 1970s, Grant wrote in his column on Friday that he didn’t know if he “had ever changed” from that boy as “the past weeks have taken him back there”.
“Since the King's coronation, I have seen people in the media lie and distort my words. They have tried to depict me as hate-filled. They have accused me of maligning Australia.
