Bolton leaves AFR, Smith seeks replacement
By Allie Coyne in Media News on Monday, 24th January 2011 at 10:00amAFR journalist Rachael Bolton has left her position as a full time writer on the publication after suffering a family bereavement, but will continue to contribute as a freelancer to Boss magazine and the features section.
Bolton started at the paper just over a year ago as a tech trainee reporter, then moved to a full time position after Information editor Paul Smith was “impressed” with her work.
“If it hadn’t been for the change in her life she would still be here,” he said. “It was to do with a number of things that happened in her life in a short space of time. We’re very sorry she’s leaving, but she thought it better to take a step back from the Fin Review.”
