MIB enforces self-declaration requirement for ads

The order necessitates advertisers and ad agencies to furnish a self-declaration certificate before airing or publishing advertisements across TV, print, digital, and radio platforms.
Officials from the ministry emphasised the importance of compliance with the directive, urging stakeholders to promptly submit the required self-declaration certificate via the Broadcast Seva Portal. This implementation is slated to take effect on or after June 18, 2024.
According to PIB, the self-declaration certificate serves to affirm that the advertised content refrains from any misleading claims and aligns with pertinent regulator...
