Melbourne Radio Veteran John Bowden Retires After 50 Years

Reflecting on his career and life ahead, Bowden fondly remembers his time as a journalist and radio presenter.
“I always wanted to be a journalist for some reason, and eventually I got a first-year cadetship at 3AW. I did three years there. It gave me a great grounding,” Bowden added.
During his five decades in radio, John got to meet some of the biggest names in music and the news business whom he credits for having helped shape his career.
