Communications agency Host/Havas has been forced to restructure its creative section.

Agency CEO Laura Aldington said that Jon Austin is now in charge of the whole team as executive creative director. She added that Austin landed the spot on account of his performance in the past six years, working on several successful projects. Austin joined as associate creative director in 2013.

Austin was originally appointed in November 2017 as co-ECD alongside Seamus Higgins and Ant Melder. However, the restructure was made in the wake of Host/Havas losing a bid to retain the Defence Force Recruiting account which went to VMLY&R. As a result, Higgins and Melder have already tendered their resignations.
