Laurence returns to SEA FM

By Jonas Lopez in Media News on
Jack Laurence is rejoining SEA FM on the Gold Coast in 2022, as assistant content director and announcer. He is already set to stand down from anchoring the Morning Crew with Hughesy, Ed and Erin on 2DAY FM and is preparing with his family to resettle in the Gold Coast. They originally planned to go back in 2023, until a vacancy opened at SEA FM. Laurence had been away from the Gold Coast for five years, having worked as anchor of the HIT Network’s drive show and later at 2DAY. He previously spent six years with SEA FM. “In July this year my wife and I decided that we wanted to move our family home to the Gold Coast in 2023. We miss home and want our kids to have the opportunity to grow up on the coast and enjoy everything it has to offer, so when the role became available at 90.9 Sea FM it was perfect timing,” he said.  Follow Laurence on LinkedIn.

Good Food Guide 2022 primed for release

By Jonas Lopez in Media News on
Nine is bringing back the Good Food Guide for 2022. The 100-page glossy insert (pictured) is being bundled in with tomorrow’s editions of metro sheets Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, with the content either angled to NSW or Victoria’s commercial dining scene. Myffy Rigby is editing the Sydney edition with Michael Harry taking care of the Melbourne title.  Much of the new Good Food Guide will have more features and reviews of suburban dining establishments, to reflect the rise of food entrepreneurs within the local communities as a result of changes triggered by the pandemic.  SMH chief reviewer Terry Durack and The Age’s Gemima Cody are leading the pack of reviewers for the Good Food Guide. However, pandemic protocols in both states have seriously affected the review team’s capability to fairly rate a subject restaurant, especially in terms of rating their condition before and after a lockdown.  “The Good Food Guide is renowned as the authority on the best restaura
