Influencing India spoke to journalists and content writers navigating this evolving space, where SEO, speed and clicks often take precedence over traditional reporting.
“So for me, both have become the same,” said Saumya Rastogi, a journalist at Network18. “News is now viewed as content and both have merged, which is really a problem. The issue is that journalism should not be biased, while content is always brand-driven.” She added that although the two roles now overlap, disciplines like investigative journalism still demand skills AI and content writing can’t replicate. “AI is not replacing journalism; it’s enabling it.”
