Prasar Bharati is set to unveil its own OTT streaming platform at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa on November 20. Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will inaugurate the platform, which will be available on Android, iOS, and as a website, according to Doordarshan. The platform will feature a diverse array of content, including archives, live TV, exclusive shows, ONDC-enabled shopping, games, and live sports. Aiming to cater to a wide audience, it will offer iconic Indian television series, award-winning films, and regional programming. Multiple media reports including The Times of India and Hindustan Times described the launch as "a significant step forward for Prasar Bharati as it broadens its scope to serve as a major player in the global digital entertainment landscape."   Mitch Churi has announced his departure from ARN and the KIIS Network, where he currently hosts The PickUp and The Night Show, as part of a cost review by the network, Radio Info reported.  Churi, whose decade-long tenure began with making coffees for Kyle and Jackie O, revealed on air that his final show will be on December 13. An ARN spokesperson lauded Churi’s contributions, describing his energy, humour, and dedication as instrumental to the network’s success. “We are incredibly grateful for Mitch’s work over the years and wish him the very best in his future endeavours,” they said. While Churi is stepping away, his The PickUp co-hosts Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne are expected to continue with ARN.  

Rory McClaren has been named the new host of ABC Radio Adelaide's Mornings program set to begin in January 2025, a media release stated. He will succeed long-time presenter David Bevan who is retiring at the end of the year. McClaren, currently the state political reporter for ABC News South Australia, expressed excitement at taking up the position and his respect for Bevan’s legacy, adding that he aims to build on his work and prioritise local voices and stories. Having joined the ABC in 2021, McClaren has extensive experience in political reporting at both state and federal levels, including stints in Canberra. He is also the president of the South Australia Press Club and has regularly contributed to ABC Radio Adelaide's Spin Cycle program on state politics. ABC Radio Adelaide Manager Graeme Bennett praised McClaren’s strong background in political reporting and his passion for the community, calling him a natural fit for the role.

  A “lucky accident” is what drew Cyber Daily’s Daniel Croft into a career in journalism following an initial university internship at Newtown-based ‘Happy Mag’ publication.   “It was a lucky accident,” Croft said. “That [internship] grew my passion for writing; originally, it wasn't something I saw myself doing. I didn’t think about journalism, but I stumbled upon it through that. And it was something that I really enjoyed, particularly as I've progressed into my current role.”  Croft says he would “look forward” to his one-day-a-week internship at the publication, where he would write on music-related news.
