Leading disability services organisation, Minda, has welcomed two new additions to its Board with the recent appointments of Ms Kathryn Presser and Mr Steve Favretto.
CEO Cathy Miller said the pair would play a key role in building on Minda’s established reputation as a leading disability services provider in South Australia.
“We are very pleased to have Kathryn and Steve join the Minda Board at such a critical time and both are well-credentialed to provide strategic support, advice and direction,” Ms Miller said.
“With South Australia being one of the chosen states for the introduction of DisabilityCare Australia, the focus on supporting people with a disability has never been greater – and it has been pleasing to see Minda positioned at the forefront of this critical wave of change,” she said.
“We have also recently started Stage 1 of our Brighton Dunes Retirement development, which will assist to fund our $200m Master Plan and provide new accommodation, work and lifestyle options designed to create an environment where people with intellectual disability can embrace and enjoy the experiences of community life.”
Mr Favretto joins the Minda Board in addition to his role as Chief Financial Officer at leading Australian financial and retirement services provider, Key Invest.
He offers significant experience financial and corporate governance and brings a solid skill base developed from his time with a “Big 4” accounting firm where he specialised in the banking and finance sector, a major defence industry contractor and with one of Australia’s most diverse agribusinesses.
He has a Bachelor of Economics and Graduate Diploma of Accounting, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Ms Presser is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Beach Energy and has more than 25 years’ experience in company secretarial roles, capital management and risk management of public listed and private companies in a wide range of industries
Her memberships include Fellow of the Australian Society of CPA's, Chartered Institute of Company Secretaries, Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Institute of Management.
In addition to the new appointments, Mr Hermann Janzon was re-appointed to the Board for another term.
Mr Janzon is currently the Managing Director for Delnote Construction and has more than 20 years’ experience working for major construction companies at senior levels.
He is an Associate Member of the Australian Institute of Building and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
