The Continuing Road to Industry Excellence: Four New Shimicoat Certifications

Shimicoat is delighted to have been awarded four important industry certifications over the past few months. As a company that continually overviews and improves its products to take full advantage of advancing technical knowledge and understanding, these latest awards evidence the commitment to provide the ultimate flooring solutions for their customers. The latest accolades are in the areas of ISO manufacturing, the Australian Paint Association Approved (APAS), the Australian Industrial Chemical Introduction and potable water.

The first of the certifications is the ISO Accredited Manufacturing 9001 - a globally acclaimed Quality Management System standard awarded to companies that continually demonstrate a commitment to monitoring and continually improving products, both as a result of advancing processes and adapting to customer needs.

The company has also recently been awarded APAS Certification. This is an independently approved scheme that ensures products meet stringent requirements and ongoing conformity. It's a highly valuable award and is necessary for a company's products to be used in Australian hospitals, government buildings and public spaces.

The next award of becoming AICIS / NICNAS Certified is an important step, as it shows both the domestic and commercial market that Shimicoat products meet or exceed the Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme, thus protecting both the Australian environment and its citizens throughout the complete manufacturing process.

Lastly, Shimicoat's Potable Water Approved Certification, which has been awarded to two specific products - the Shimicoat Composite Clear Epoxy and Shimicoat Fast Cure Clear Epoxy - means both are "drinking water safe and certified", and can therefore be used in the construction and improvement of any structures in and around potable water sources.
