DELIVERING LIFESAVING EQUIPMENT TO THE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL AT WESTMEAD

SYDNEY, NSW For more than 70 years, Cincotta Discount Chemist in Merrylands has been the cornerstone of care in the Merrylands community, providing trusted healthcare advice and exceptional service to their customers. In line with this commitment to community care, in 2023 Cincotta announced the Humpty Dumpty Foundation as their charity partner. Like Cincotta, the Humpty Dumpty Foundation's mission is to ensure every Australian child has access to the healthcare they need, no matter where they live. This partnership marks a significant extension of care from the hospital to the community.

The Humpty Dumpty Foundation and its supporters have provided lifesaving medical equipment and healthcare initiatives for sick babies and children in around 500 hospitals and health services across Australia. Last week Cincotta Discount Chemist was thrilled to announce that, thanks to the exceptional generosity of customers at our Merrylands location, Cincotta Discount Chemist Merrylands contributed over $3,200, the largest amount among their 45-plus stores, and contributing to a total from all stores of over $8,000 to date. This generosity helped fund the donation of an F&P 950 Humidification System to The Children's Hospital at Westmead, valued at over $5,000.

For families with premature children, humidifiers are vital in the lifesaving environment of Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs). These devices provide warm, moisture-rich air to nurture and protect fragile newborns, particularly those born prematurely or with health challenges, ensuring their delicate lungs remain warm and never dry out. This donation follows Cincotta's initial support, which included the donation of a Symphony Breast Pump to the Special Care Nursery at St George Hospital in New South Wales.

With these ongoing efforts, Cincotta Discount Chemist continues to uphold its long-standing commitment to healthcare, extending its reach beyond store doors to make a meaningful impact in hospitals and communities across Australia.
