Hardie Grant Publishing was established in Melbourne in 1997 by Sandy Grant and Fiona Hardie. Their vision was to create a mid-sized independent Australian publisher, bringing innovative marketing to book and custom magazine publishing. Hardie Grant has grown steadily since then. It now has a turnover of over $45 million, and comprises the following businesses: Hardie Grant Books: specialising in general non-fiction, with a high profile in food and wine Hardie Grant Egmont: children’s books Explore Australia: travel and cartography Hardie Grant Digital: digital publishing and advertising sales Hardie Grant Magazines: custom publishing, plus a handful of consumer titles
