Alimrose is the designer name in the children’s gift market. We are an Australian family business that has been creating joyful gifts for more than 30 years. We pride ourselves on continually creating gorgeous designs & providing great service. With a passion for design, an eye for detail and a feel for beautiful fabrics, we are the home of the sweetest dolls, loveliest baby accessories & gorgeous toys for kids. The business (formerly Native Bush Babies & founded by Susan Shardlow) began in the very early 1980’s when two mothers were tired of not being able to access Australian designed dolls and products for their children. This inspired them to begin their own company. The company originally made Australian themed dolls and figurines based around the charming characters from the stories of the famed May Gibbs. Over the years the range grew and eventually included a large range of beautiful dolls, soft toys, rattles, bibs, quilts & home wares. In 1997 the company changed its trading name from Native Bush Babies to Alimrose (which represents a combination of favourite family names and at the same time accommodated a broader range & style of children’s gifts).
