Williams to step down from ABC Eyre Peninsula

Deane Williams is now set on retirement, following a 55-year-long career.
Williams stated this week that tomorrow will be his final broadcast and expressed plans to do art work and travel Europe with his family and friends.
He has spent the past eight years with ABC Eyre Peninsula.
“Presenting radio is something I love to do. And working with colleagues and on-air guests who have made life so interesting. Often fun, sometimes challenging, but always satisfying.
“I've met so many people who are passionate about what they do and are a joy to talk with on radio. Most of all I will miss the many in our audience who love the ABC and have been regular listeners to my program,” read part of Williams’ farewell message.
