Williams takes over The Monthly from Nick Feik
By Staff Writers in Media News on Monday, 23rd May 2022 at 4:19amThe Monthly has a new editor, with Michael Williams replacing the outgoing Nick Feik at Schwartz Media’s monthly current affairs magazine.
Williams was most recently artistic director of the Sydney Writers’ Festival, and his background in publishing and broadcasting includes hosting and regular appearances on ABC radio and television.
He described his move to the magazine as a “dream and a privilege”.
“There is nowhere else like The Monthly. Since its first edition I’ve been an avid reader and admirer of the singular place it holds in Australian political and cultural life,” he said.
Williams has big shoes to fill at The Monthly, with Feik having published eight Walkley Award-winning essays during his eight years in charge of the title.
