By Staff Writer in Media News on
The latest GfK Radio 360 Survey, released on October 1, 2024, has revealed a resurgence in smooth music, with Sydney's Smooth 95.3 emerging as Australia’s most popular station, radioinfo reported. Despite the initial buzz around Kyle and Jackie O’s move to KIIS 101.1 in Melbourne, listener interest has waned, allowing smooth music stations to capture more ears. In Melbourne, 3AW saw a significant rise with Ross and Russ’s breakfast show climbing 1.2 percent to a 22.5 percent share. However, Sydney’s 2GB, which had struggled through the Olympics and sports finals, has not regained its footing, losing the top spot to KIIS 106.5, led by Kyle and Jackie O. Perth’s Nova 93.7 breakfast show, hosted by Nathan, Nat & Shaun, now leads the market with a 16.4 percent share and an increase of 11,000 listeners, outpacing competitors like Ben Fordham on 2GB and breakfast shows in Brisbane and Adelaide. Melbourne stations also saw notable gains, including Scott Menz on Magic 1278 a
