Updated: Athina Mallis takes charge at Gizmodo

A desire to get back into the consumer side of technology was the primary motivator for Athina Mallis jumping over to Pedestrian Group to become Gizmodo’s managing editor.
“I have been wanting to go back into that lifestyle space and back into consumer, and when [the Gizmodo’s editorship] came up and they approached me, this was exactly what I wanted,” Mallis told Influencing.
“I started as a tech journalist in consumer at Channel News and I’ve been in enterprise now nearly six years, so I just wanted a sea change and to go back to doing the consumer-facing stuff.”
