Ex-PM Tony Abbott wades into the controversy with the Tele's front page headline blaring 'WE NEED TO CULL', under a 'BEACH FRENZY' strapline. Abbott - described as 'an avid surfer and volunteer lifesaver' - calls for the reintroduction of the state's shark fishery.
