Tan turns the page to SBS News

He shared the news of his role on LinkedIn, expressing gratitude to his colleagues, saying they supported him in becoming the journalist he is today.
“Last day at Perth Now yesterday, saying goodbye to (now) lifelong friends. Thanks to everyone who's backed me and helped me become the journo I am today. Next stop: Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) Australia as its WA correspondent”
Tan received praise from colleagues, including Phoebe Worthley, a reporter at Seven News, who described him as a “Stuff of Legends”.
Before joining SBS News, Tan served as a journalist at PerthNow. His journalism career also includes stints at Cootamundra Times and Seven Network.
