Spencer Howson to depart 4BC at year’s end

Howson, known for his engaging weekend shows, made the announcement on air, indicating his plans for the coming year.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed spending weekends with you these past three years on 4BC, but it is time for me to keep moving,” he said.
4BC Content Director, Max Dudley expressed gratitude for Howson’s contributions, highlighting his “professionalism” and role as a “wonderful mentor” to many in the team.
Howson’s tenure at 4BC began in 2021, where he revitalised local weekend programming by hosting breakfast shows on Saturdays and Sundays. This role followed an over 20-year stint with 612 ABC Brisbane.
