Southern Highlands Express goes to press

The King Media Group has started publishing a new community paper for the NSW Southern Highlands region, called the Southern Highlands Express.
Mumbrella reported that the new broadsheet will be a weekly title sold for $2 a copy.
King Media Group director Cristian King said ACM’s recent mass closure of titles as a result of the pandemic – including the local Southern Highlands News – left residents starving for timely news and information. He is angling for local businesses to support the new paper through advertising.
“Regional titles should be run as individual small businesses without the governance of a large enterprise. Readers are not engaged by syndicated content as they want their local news,” he said.
