Sony Pictures Networks India appoints Gaurav Banerjee as CEO

Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has announced the appointment of Gaurav Banerjee as its new CEO, replacing NP Singh who was with the firm for over two decades.
Banerjee, who previously worked at Disney Star, is recognised for his extensive experience in content strategy and channel management having served in various leadership roles within Star TV for over 16 years.
According to a report by LiveMint, during his tenure at Star Plus, Banerjee played a pivotal role in revitalising the channel with popular shows, helping it regain its leadership position.
Banerjee holds a master's degree in filmmaking and TV production and has a solid background in journalism. His appointment is expected to drive growth and innovation at SPNI.
