Seven Network to discontinue 7NEWS Gold Coast bulletin in major restructure

The Seven Network has announced it will discontinue the 7NEWS Gold Coast bulletin starting this week.
In a statement to Mumbrella, the network confirmed that the 5:30 pm local Gold Coast news will conclude this Thursday. Following the change, viewers can watch the hour-long Seven Afternoon News at 4:00 pm, The Chase Australia at 5:00 pm, and 7NEWS live at 6:00 pm with Max Futcher and Sarah Greenhalgh.
Most staff will remain in the new Gold Coast bureau, although some will relocate to Brisbane. Non-news team members, including those in sales, are not expected to be affected by the changes.
