Senior journalist injured in Navi Mumbai's Palm Beach Road hit-and-run accident

A Navi Mumbai-based senior journalist and women’s rights activist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident on Palm Beach Road after a speeding biker allegedly jumped a red signal and rammed into the scooty she was travelling on.
Sandhya Jain, 56, owner and editor-in-chief of the magazines Women Zone and Kanchan Kanika, has been undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital in Seawoods for multiple injuries, including fractures to both hands and her nose, facial injuries and trauma.
According to Jain, the accident took place on May 18 near the NRI Junction on Palm Beach Road while she was travelling to the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) headquarters in Belapur.
