Roy Morgan’s latest readership survey reveals that news consumption remains deeply ingrained in the lives of Australians, with 21.7 million people over the age of 14 reading news each month. The data indicates that news reaches more Australians weekly than the number who drink coffee or milk, underscoring its significance in daily life.
The survey highlights that Australians engage with news on a vast scale, recording 67 million interactions per week. An impressive 91 percent of the population reads up to four news titles monthly, with general news being the most popular category, reaching 93 percent of readers.
