Reuters X account restored after suspension

Reuters' official X accounts, including @Reuters and @ReutersWorld, were restored on Sunday after being temporarily withheld in India by the social media platform. The accounts were blocked on Saturday night following what X described as a "legal demand".
Reuters reported receiving an email from X stating, “At this time, we are no longer withholding access in INDIA to your account.”
According to The Indian Express, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Electronics and IT clarified that “there is no requirement from the Government of India to withhold Reuters handle”, and confirmed that the Ministry was working with X to resolve the matter.
