IDG lays off three in editorial 'refocus'
By Allie Coyne in Media News on Friday, 28th January 2011 at 2:00pmA restructure at publishing house IDG has resulted in three redundancies and an overall refocus of content, with editorial director of Good Gear Guide and PC World AU Amanda Conroy (pictured), technical journalist Chris Jager and production assistant Imogen Stuart having left the company.
Managing director Davy Adams told IT Journo the company needed to refocus its energy on “profitable and significant areas”, which has meant a restructure of staffing and content production across its consumer-oriented titles PC World, Good Gear Guide and GamePro.
“IDG is focusing exclusively on our core audiences - the IT Channel, Enterprise IT, SMB and consumers who need to better understand technology at work and home,” Adams said. “These are the areas where we have a...
