Profile: Journalism to Silicon Valley - The right call for Plunkett

At the time, Plunkett was the editor of Business Review Weekly (BRW), Australia’s most popular weekly business magazine and she’d carved out a reputation as one of the most influential journalists in Australia covering the technology sector.
“Moving across to Silicon Valley definitely opened my eyes. I dropped a lot of the naivety and any ideology I had - that was significantly reduced. And in return, what I got was a good dose of realism for me,” she said.
“The business side of it was incredibly eye-opening for me. So, I don't think I could be proud of my writing now without having that VC experience.”
