Prasar Bharati extends deadline for auction for broadcasters application

Prasar Bharati has extended the deadline for the 90th e-auction of MPEG-2 slots on DD Free Dish for broadcasters.
As per the announcement, the last date to apply for the e-auction has been extended till 3.00 pm on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
The auction process is tentatively scheduled to be held on Friday, August 22, 2025.
The e-auction was first announced in January 2025 and will be conducted under methodology 2023. Private satellite channels licensed by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, along with international public broadcasters cleared by the Ministry, will be eligible to participate in the auction.
