The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has issued separate notices to four media professionals, including three electronic journalists and a cameraman, directing them to appear as witnesses in connection with a case registered in November 2025. According to Deccan Chronicle, the individuals have been asked to present themselves at the agency’s Madhapur office on April 22 at 10 am for examination. The case was registered on November 26, 2025 under Section 152 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with Sections 13 and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The notices were issued under Section 160 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, read with Section 179 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. In the communication, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Chief Investigating Officer Kaki Rahul Teja stated that the recipients were believed to be “acquainted with the facts and circumstances of the case” and were required to appear before the investigating officer for enquiry.
