For over two decades, Palki Sharma Upadhyay has grown to become one of the most recognisable names in Indian broadcast journalism. The calm anchor, the pointed questioner, the journalist who made "Gravitas" on WION something people actually watched. She has passed through Doordarshan, CNN-News18, WION and Firstpost and at each stop she brought credibility to somebody else's editorial project. Now she is starting her own.
Multiple media industry trackers, including exchange4media, Business Media India and Newslaundry, have reported it as her own independent venture.
India Global Review, or IGR, is Sharma's bet that there is an audience hungry for something most Indian media has struggled to build: a globally minded newsroom that does not sacrifice editorial backbone to stay in busines...
