News18 Bihar-Jharkhand has been honoured with the National Media Award in the Electronic (Television) category for its comprehensive coverage of the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, Media Brief reported. The award was presented by President Droupadi Murmu on the occasion of the 16th National Voters’ Day.
Bihar went to the polls in two phases on November 6 and 11, 2025, recording one of the highest voter turnouts in the state’s history. News18 Bihar deployed teams across all 38 districts and 46 counting centres, delivering continuous updates during both the election and counting period.
The channel’s coverage combined on-the-ground field reporting with studio programming, supported by a specially developed Live Results system that ensured accurate, real-time dissemination of data.
