News Corp Australia and ABC preps redundancies

Redundancies are about to hit News Corp Australia (pictured) and the ABC.
On the News Corp Australia side, the company announced that production and editorial duties for the Melbourne Herald-Sun and the Daily Telegraph were to be syndicated across several titles, with a large number of redundancies between them.
The Australian will have some redundancies while its news content will not be spread out, but will consider limiting the contributors pool and their payments.
Over at the ABC, up to 250 jobs spread out across the national news, entertainment, specialist, and regional content divisions will be shed by the end of the month, to help the company meet a $41m annual shortfall. Some employees can volunteer for redundancy if they desire, said managing director David Anderson...
