Mike Sneesby to step down as Nine CEO

Mike Sneesby will resign as CEO and director of Nine on 30 September 2024, with Matt Stanton, Nine's chief finance and strategy officer, stepping in as acting CEO from 1 October 2024. The company is currently seeking a permanent replacement.
The Nine board announced the leadership change in a release to the ASX.
Chair Catherine West praised Sneesby’s contributions, highlighting his leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, securing the Olympic Games broadcast rights through 2032, and strengthening Nine’s media assets, including the Stan streaming service. She also expressed confidence in Stanton's ability to manage the transition smoothly.
