Channel Seven’s Melbourne studio will have Shaun Menegola in charge of news and current affairs, effective early 2019.
Menegola has just relocated from Perth, where he finished five years as Nine’s news director last week – with local regional news director Michael Dalton succeeding him as acting head.
Menegola is an old hand in the Seven family, having served as news director of the Perth studio from 2000 to 2011. He also wrote for The West Australian and the South West Times.
“Shaun has one of the sharpest minds in the news business. His energy and quest for excellence will help drive our formidable Seven News Melbourne team to further success,” said Seven network news and public affairs director Craig McPherson.
