Mediaweek makes Editor-in-Chief redundant

Mediaweek - self-described as Australia's "media industry Bible" - has made editor-in-chief Emma Shepherd redundant.
Taking on LinkedIn, Shepherd said: "As part of recent changes at Mediaweek Australia, my role as Editor in Chief has been made redundant.
"This decision was completely out of my hands, and while it’s incredibly difficult to step away from a role I truly loved, I’m so proud of what we achieved together."
Vinyl Group bought the media publication in September 2024, for $500,000 in cash and $500,000 in shares and then sacked Mediaweek’s former editor-in-chief James Manning in November. He’d been with the publication for 25 years.
